Trump is NOT above the law though he certainly acts like it. He swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, yet ignores or actively attacks it. Republican legislators seem content to do nothing about his dereliction of duty. As the Trump-Russia saga unfolds and Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation closes in on Trump, his family, and his associates, there is a distinct possibility that Trump will fire the Special Counsel investigating him. This would trigger a Constitutional Crisis. To ensure the Republican-led Legislative branch does not relinquish its co-equal status to the Executive branch, MoveOn.org and local Indivisible chapters are preparing to hold emergency “Nobody is Above the Law” rallies around the country should Robert Mueller be fired.
Plan to participate in your local “Nobody is Above the Law” rally should Trump fire Mueller.
Check your local rally organizer for the time and place. Note that for most rallies, the following start times apply.
If Mueller is fired before 2PM local time, rallies would start at 5pm that same day.
If he is fired after 2PM local time, rallies would start at noon the following day.
Quoting MoveOn.org: If you choose to attend an event, you agree to engage in nonviolent, peaceful action, to act lawfully, and to strive to de-escalate any potential confrontations with those who may disagree with our values.
